Vosotros puts on a show as TNT regains familiar spot

Welcome to the Almond Vosotros Show.

In a torrid shooting display, Vosotros gunned down six consecutive two-point shots down the stretch to power TNT back to the top via a 21-17 finals victory over Cavitex in Leg 3 of the PBA 3x3 Season 2 Second Conference Sunday at Robinsons Novaliches.

Vosotros' torrid ending enabled the Tropang Giga to turn the tables around after trailing by four in the first five minutes of play en route to the big bounceback to their heartbreaking runner-up finish in last week's Leg 2.

Vosotros, who finished with 15 points highlighted by seven makes from deep, Gryann Mendoza (three points), Lervin Flores (two points) and Ray Mark Acuno (one point) delivered TNT's second leg triumph of the conference after their conquest of Leg 1. Counting their past achievements, the Tropang Giga extended the franchise's collection to 10 leg victories since the inaugural season.

"Effort ng whole team ito - from the coaches to the utilities to the players," said Vosotros, deflecting credit after one of the most dominant individual performances in the league. "Ibang klase yung trust na bininigay nila sa akin kaya ginagawa ko ang best ko para masuklian iyon."

TNT collected P100,000 for its latest feat.

Cavitex's Bong Galanza (five points), Sherwin Concepcion (five), Dominick Fajardo (four) and Jorey Napoles (three) settled for second place and P50,000 after failing to close out TNT.

The Braves got off to a flying start against TNT, 6-2, and even had control, 13-9, at the halfway point of the finale.

But with Vosotros on relentless bombardment, the Tropang Giga wrested a 19-16 upperhand. Napoles pulled Cavitex back with a layup but after a TNT dry offense, Mendoza pounced on an errant pass by Napoles to retrieve the leather and feed it to Vosotros for the golden two-ball.

TNT and Cavitex set up their title duel with contrasting semis verdicts over Meralco 3x3, 20-19, and Barangay Ginebra, 21-10, respectively.
