Limitless Appmasters keep pole position

GAINING from their conquest of Leg 5, the Limitless Appmasters strengthened their position as the top-ranked squad in the PBA 3x3 Second Conference ahead of the concluding leg.

The Appmasters, who beat the TnT Tropang Giga for the fifth leg top honors last Sunday, 22-19, jacked up their overall tally to 410 tour points and widened the gap against their closest pursuer in the team standings.

Up by only 10 points through four legs, the triumphant crew of Brandon Rosser, Marvin Hayes, Jorey Napoles and Reymar Caduyac are now ahead by 35 points versus the second-running Tropang Giga, who tote a 375-point card.

TnT switched places with Meralco 3x3, the Leg 4 victor who dropped to third overall with 345 points after its sixth-finish last weekend.

San Miguel Beer (280 points) maintained its standing at No. 4 ahead of Barangay Ginebra (232), Platinum Karaoke (231) and Pioneer Pro Tibay (197).

Knocking on the doors are No. 11 Cavitex Braves (113), No. 12 Master Sardines (95) and cellar-dwelling NorthPort (76).

The 13 squads will battle for precious points one last time in Leg 6 on April 12-13 before the qualified crews move on to the conference championship.
