J&T Express gains ground, moves up to no.2 behind TNT in team standings

J&T Express used its breakthrough Leg 2 triumph as a jumping board to second spot in the latest PBA 3x3 Season 2 Second Conference team standings.

The Express, who finally broke the stranglehold of TNT with a pulsating 21-19 finals win last Sunday at Robinsons Malabon, jacked up their tally to 150 tour points overall to move three places up.

Despite settling for runner-up honors, the Leg 1 winners Tropang Giga held on to pole position with their 180-point aggregate.

Behind TNT and J&T were Barangay Ginebra (130) and Cavitex Braves (130), who stayed at Nos. 3 and 4, respectively, on the strength of their semifinal stints in the Malabon hostilities.

Platinum Karaoke went down three spots to fifth overall with 125 points, its fall hastened by a meager sixth place finish in Leg 2 after its silver medal in Leg 1.
