BLACKWATER shared the spotlight with multi-titled giants Meralco and TNT as it shut out its group opponents en route to the quarterfinals of Leg 6 of the PBA 3x3 Season 3 Third Conference Monday at Market! Market!
Powered by the sweet-shooting ways of Wendell Comboy, the Smooth Razor upset perennial contender Cavitex, 20-18, then took down Leg 2 ruler MCFASolver, 19-16, before sealing the Pool C sweep at the expense of Purefoods, 21-15.
Comboy rifled in 12 points spiked by four two-pointers to get Blackwater started then dropped eight to key their second upset of the day. The sniper out of Far Eastern U then bombed away with 10 to lead the Smooth Razor to 3-0 and No. 1 seeding in their group in Tuesday's knockout rounds.
League leader Meralco, the winner of Legs 1, 3 and 4, and TNT, the ruler of Leg 5, also swept their way to the Last-8 in Pools B and A, respectively.
With Jeff Manday firing 13, 12 and 10 - making five of his eight two-point attempts each time, the Bolts brought the broom versus Terrafirma, 21-17, NorthPort, 21-9, and Barangay Ginebra, 21-17.

The Triple Giga, who snapped a rare dry spell with their Leg 5 triumph last week, took care of business in two-team Pool A against Pioneer Elastoseal, 21-17, and San Miguel Beer, 21-12.
The Katibays joined TNT in the next round as Pool A's No. 2 with 1-1 on account of their 21-19 verdict over the Beermen (0-2).
The Gin Kings (1-1), the Batang Pier (1-2) and the Dyip (0-2) are still to settle a dispute for the two other quarters seats in Pool B while the Tech Centrale (1-1), the Braves (1-2) and the Titans (0-2) are contesting the two remaining quarters spots in Pool C.
The chase continues Tuesday in the last two games of the elims featuring Terrafirma versus Barangay Ginebra at 3 p.m. and MCFASolver against Purefoods at 3:25 p.m.
