Well-rested Vosotros back with guns blazing

TNT'S Almond Vosotros quickly regained his familiar status as premier gunner upon his return to active duty in the PBA 3x3 Season 2 Third Conference Leg 2 that the Tropang Giga won.

Vosotros, who took a well-deserved break in the opening leg, came out with guns blazing and scored a leg best 53 points built spiked by 22 two-point shot conversions.

The many-time scoring champion posted a whopping average of 10.60 markers per game in the two-day meet.

Kim Aurin of Leg 2 runner-up Barangay Ginebra logged a second-best 38, including 20 one-point shots made, followed by the Meralco duo Alfred Batino and Jeff Manday with 33 apiece and Cavitex ace Chester Saldua with 30.

Vosotros' teammate Lervin Flores topped the field in rebounding with a total of 31 (14 offensive and 17 defensive) and an average of 6.20 boards. Following the TnT big man in most rebounds were Ginebra's Ralph Cu (26), Batino (24) and Cavitex's Marion Magat (24).

Cu emerged as tops in assists with 23 ahead of Cavitex's Jorey Napoles (13), Flores (10), Cavitex's Dominick Fajardo (10) and Vosotros (10).

Manday beat Cu for the most steals honors as the Bolts stalwart tallied six against Cu's four, Platinum mainstay TH Tumalip's four, Pioneer Elastoseal Katibay Ken Mocon's three and Meralco guard Reymar Caduyac's three.

Platinum's twin tower Brandon Bates and Yutien Andrada finished 1-2 in shot blocks with five and four, respectively, ahead of Purefoods' RR de Leon (three) and J&T Express' Keith Datu (three) and Napoles (three). (OL)
