Tropang Giga in pursuit of back-to-back leg titles

TnT reigned supreme in the opening legs of the PBA 3x3's first two conferences but seemed to lack the punch to go back-to-back each time.

Once more victorious in the kickoff leg of the Third Conference last week, the Tropang Giga set out to change that as they seek to finally score a follow up in Leg 2 starting Saturday at Robinsons Place Las Pinas.

"Hopefully magtuloy-tuloy," said TnT gunner Almond Vosotros, whose squad currently owns three leg wins in the inaugural season, all of them Leg 1s.

"Lagi kaming Leg 1 champion, marami pang kailangang trabahuhin para ma-maintain namin itong panalo," he added.

The Mau Belen-coached TnT team has retained the winning crew of veterans Vosotros and Samboy de Leon and 3x3 debutants Gryann Mendoza and Ping Exciminiano for the second-leg hostilities.

The Tropang Giga, who continued their Leg 1 winning tradition with a clinching 18-15 win over Barangay Ginebra last Sunday, compete in Pool A with the Sista Super Sealers, Terrafirma 3x3 and NorthPort providing the challenge.

Sista tapped Wilson Baltazar for Jan Jamon for Leg 2 while the Dyip brought in Red Cachuela for Sandy Cenal.

The Gin Kings, meanwhile, are in Pool B in the company of San Miguel Beer, which activated Fonso Gotladera in lieu of James Mangahas, and Limitless, which added Simon Camacho as its fifth player.

Leg 1 third-placer Purefoods TJ Titans headline Pool C with Cavitex, which reinserted Dominick Fajardo in place of AC Soberano, redemption-seeking Pioneer Pro Tibay, which welcomed back Carlo Escalambre for the injured Reeve Ugsang, and Master Sardines.

Meralco is in Pool D with Platinum, which reactivated Raphael Banal for JR Alabanza, and Zamboanga.
