TNT first team to win 3 consecutive leg titles in a conference

NO stopping TnT's juggernaut in the PBA 3x3 Season 3 Second Conference.

With another masterful performance, the rampaging Triple Giga reigned supreme in Leg 3 at the expense of Cavitex, 21-12, to earn the honors as the first team to win three consecutive legs in a conference Tuesday at Ayala Mall Fairview Terraces.

Almond Vosotros, the league's most lethal gunner, carried TnT on his shoulders and rifled in 12 points spiked by four two pointers as the bemedalled franchise carved out its newest feat on Halloween.

Vosotros ignited and capped an 11-3 blast with a booming deuce as the Triple Giga zoomed to a 17-9 tear off an initially tied contest.

The sweet-shooting Vosotros was in concert with new recruit Chester Saldua (four markers and 11 rebounds), Ping Exciminiano (three points, five boards) and Gryann Mendoza (two points) in getting the job done and delivering the franchise's 16th leg title overall since the league inaugurals in 2021.

"Mataas ang expectations sa amin ng management kaya talagang pinaghandaan namin nang husto. Good thing, nakuha namin ang three-peat agad kahit bago pa lang sa team sila Chester (Saldua at Matt (Salem)," said Exciminiano.

TNT banked P100,000 for repeating against Cavitex, the same team they defeated for the Leg 1 plum. It was also a nice advanced birthday gift for coach Mau Belen.

Despite settling for runner-up honors worth P50,000, Cavitex' Marion Magat (six), Ken Ighalo (four), Tonino Gonzaga (one) and Bong Galanza (one) were successful in propelling the Braves back to their old position near the summit after a disappointing seventh the previous leg.

TNT and Cavitex arranged a title showdown with tight victories over their respective semis rivals, Pioneer, 21-18, and Meralco, 21-19.

The Bolts' Joseph Sedurifa, Jeff Manday, Reymar Caduyac and sub JJ Manlangit joined their sister teams in the podium and netted P30,000 after turning back the Katibays in the battle for third, 21-16. (OL)
