Is TNT unstoppable?

CHALLENGERS take another shot at stopping TNT's dominant ways as Leg 4 of the PBA 3x3 Season 2 Second Conference blasts off on Saturday at Robinsons Place Malabon.

The Tropang Giga returned to the top in last week's third leg after yielding the second-leg plum to first-time winner J&T Express and now train their sights on going back-to-back in the two-day competition.

Almond Vosotros, who erupted for a whopping 15 points on seven two-pointers in TNT's 21-17 clincher over Cavitex last Sunday, leads the campaign with holdovers Lervin Flores and Gryann Mendoza and the newly-reactivated Samboy de Leon complementing their sniper.

TNT, the only double-leg winner of the conference counting its triumph in Leg 1, begins its quest in Pool A versus Terrafirma 3x3 and Blackwater.

Cavitex, which retained Jorey Napoles, Dominick Fajardo and Bong Galanza from the Leg 3 runner-up cast and brought in Chester Saldua for Sherwin Concepcion, competes in Pool B versus NorthPort and new-look San Miguel Beer, which fields brothers Chris and Carlo de Chavez for the first time with Wendell Comboy and Jammer Jamito.

The Bolts wage initial battle in Pool C versus Platinum Karaoke and Purefoods TJ Titans.

Leg 3 fourth-placer Barangay Ginebra competes in Pool D with J&T, which reassembled the Leg 2-winning roster of Marvin Hayes, Joseph Sedurifa, Keith Datu and Robin Rono after placing fifth last week, and Pioneer Elastoseal.

Twelve pool games beginning at 11 a.m. are on tap on opening day with the teams aiming to finish in the Top 2 of each group to march into Sunday's knockout stages. (OL)
