All eyes on streaking Tropang Giga

ANTIPOLO - Can somebody stop the TnT rampage in the PBA 3x3 Third Conference?

With their 13 rivals plotting an ambush, the Tropang Giga seek to continue its amazing run as Leg 5 action fires off Saturday at the Robinsons Place Antipolo.

The Almond Vosotros-led Tropang Giga have virtually made the season-ending conference their playground, winning three of the first four legs, including last week's fourth stage.

Overall, TnT has won five legs dating back to the first two conferences - the most in the standalone league.

"This team is obsessed with hardwork and love for the game and it resulted in the most leg wins in a single conference and the only team that has won five leg championships," said coach Mau Belen after last week's triumph.

"And I believe we can only get better from here," she added.

Vosotros, the top scorer in Leg 4 with 54 points, teams up with Samboy de Leon and newly-reactivated Rey Mark Acuno and Gryan Mendoza in the quest for a three consecutive romp.

The Tropang Giga compete in Pool A and quickly face a heavyweight in Meralco in the 10 a.m. opener of a 14-game Day 1 slate. The Bolts are fielding regulars Alfred Batino, Dexter Maiquez and Joseph Sedurifa and fresh face JJ Espanola, who replaces Tonino Gonzaga.

TNT and Meralco are in the company of Sista Super Sealers and Zamboanga Valientes in Pool A.

Terrafirma 3x3, which achieved its best finish of second place in Leg 4, headlines Pool B with Pioneer Pro Tibay and Barangay Ginebra as groupmates.
